Breakfast is its own restaurant category in the United States. Diners serve eggs, pancakes, hash browns and bottomless coffee from early morning, sometimes around the clock; breakfast and brunch restaurants open around 7 and close in the early afternoon; delis and sandwich shops sell egg sandwiches and bagels to go and switch to lunch by 11. Weekend brunch, roughly 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is the busiest shift of the week, and well-known spots run waits of 30 to 60 minutes; many now take reservations or a waitlist through an app. Expect large portions, free refills on drip coffee and a tip of 15 to 20 percent for table service. Creperies, waffle houses and bistros round out the group with sweeter or European-style menus.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Concord Trading Post at (980) 504-3989; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 80 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded delis & sandwich shops in Concord.

Concord is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Concord is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The food is good and it’s easy to get in and out. They’re about 50% on paying attention when “no red onions, please” is on the order. Good thing I just loathe onions and are not allergic.

We’ve stopped off for lunch a couple times and have not been disappointed. Just recently had the double smash burger with fries and it was amazing! One of the best burgers around the area no question!

Finally got to try this place since when we’re normally downtown they’re not open. My husband got the Tad which was delicious. Mine however, was missing things. I got the CPT and there was no chicken and no cheese. We took the sandwich to go so we didn’t realize until later. I like veggies, but I needed the protein for this sandwich. I’m just not sure I’ll try going through the trouble of going here again.

We stopped by this sandwich shop and it didn’t even seem busy, just a couple tables inside and one outside. We placed our order and ended up waiting over 45 minutes 😭. For two sandwiches, that was honestly way too long. The sandwiches were really good, no complaints there, but the wait kind of ruined the experience. I hope you guys can figure out what’s slowing things down, maybe an extra toaster or something, because it would be a shame to lose customers over that. 45 minutes for two sandwiches is just too much.

We were in downtown Concord last weekend for an event and on a whim, decided to stop in Concord Trading Post for lunch, and I’m so glad we did! The staff member at the front was so friendly, making recommendations and explaining the menu. I had the Tad sandwich on ciabatta and it was delicious! I forgot what my daughter got but she said hers was really good too. There’s also a stand with bagged chips and you have to try the rosemary ones 🤌🏼🤌🏼 They have breakfast sandwiches so we’ll be back to try those soon. It’s honestly SO hard to find any food north of Charlotte where we live (there are a select few anyway), and we’re always driving down to Charlotte for decent food. So I was so happy to have found this little gem.
